Qatar 2022: Saudi Arabia King Declares Wednesday Public Holiday After Shock Win Vs Argentina

 Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has ordered a national public holiday on Wednesday, after the national team stunned Argentina in their Group C opener at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The is according to Saudi Press Agency in a Tweet released after the historic win on Tuesday.

And following the win the Saudi Press Agency wrote on Twitter:“Based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, it is directed that tomorrow, Wednesday, will be a holiday for employees in the public and private sectors, and students in all educational stages.”

Ranked 51st in the world, Saudi Arabia could have been blown away in the first half, as Messi opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 10 minutes before Argentina had three goals ruled out for offside.
