Below is a list of the top Nigerian
Super Eagles goals, ranked from worst to best. Aesthetic appeal, build-up play,
and execution were prioritized. A goal would therefore not necessarily be
penalized for occurring during a defeat because the significance of the
situation in which the goals were scored is reduced.
Due to the continent's production of
some of the most dangerous forwards a club could hope for, the Super Eagles
team has enjoyed immense success throughout the years both within and outside
of Africa.

following their 10-0 thrashing of Sao Tome and Principe on Monday.
Following their
victory at the 2013 AFCON competition in South Africa, the Super Eagles
represented Africa at the Confederations Cup. Nnamdi Oduamadi scored a hat
trick as Stephen Keshi's squad won 6-1 to get off to a good start in the
competition.
Another excellent victory in June was
overshadowed by the death of native coach Shaibu Amodu. Rasheed Yekini, Samson
Siasia, and Mutiu Adepoju all scored braces as the Super Eagles thrashed their
European opponents 5-0 in Ibadan's Liberty Stadium.
The Liberian Lone Stars and the SuperEagles were put in the same group in the preliminary round of qualification for
the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The Eagles' 2-0
home and away wins were lauded, but George Weah's kingsmen fared poorly in the
2013 AFCON Qualifiers.
After being held
to a 1-1 draw by Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou during the 1992 AFCON
qualification matches, the Super Eagles returned to Lagos with a goal. The
Super Eagles defeated the Stallions 7-1 at Surulere National Stadium.
On Valentine's Day
1977, the Nigerian national team played a friendly match against the
neighbouring Benin Republic, but there was no brotherly love on display.
Tiko Jelisavcic's
Eagles defeated the Squirrels 7-0 in Lagos, owing to hat-tricks from Thompson
Usiyen and doubles from Godwin Iwelimo. Both Samuel Ojebode and Alloysius
Atuegbu scored goals while the Squirrels were watching the seven wonders of
Lagos.
