Aina Eager To Represent Nigeria At AFCON 2023

 The full-back is expected to be included in Nigeria’s squad for the tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.


Aina won bronze medal on his first AFCON appearance with the Super Eagles at the 2019 edition hosted by Egypt.The former Chelsea player is delighted the Super Eagles are among the teams that will compete for honours in Cote d’Ivoire.


“It was good to have qualified. Everyone was happy and excited to be back for the tournament,”Aina told Premier League TV.



“The love I receive from the fans makes me feel good and I’m just happy to play for Nigeria and looking forward to the next one.”


Aina represented England at youth level before switching allegiance to Nigeria.He reflected on the decision; “It was just a decision I felt I needed to take.
