UCL: Bayern Munich Oust Arsenal, Zoom Into Semi-Finals

Joshua Kimmich’s netted the only goal of the game as Bayern Munich knockout Arsenal out of the Champions League on Wednesday, to book a berth in the semi-finals.

After the first leg had ended 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium last week, the Bavarians’ 1-0 victory, means they qualify 3-2 on aggregate. The first half had both teams create limited goal scoring chances.

However, Gabriel Martinelli had Arsenal’s best chance of the first half but shot straight at Manuel Neuer after Jamal Musiala had forced David Raya into a full-stretch save at the other end.

But in the 63rd minute of the second, Kimmich’s attacking header proved decisive and ensured Arsenal’s long wait to win the Champions League for the first time goes on.
